Backstabbing Bitches: Fact or Fiction?

Today I learned a new and valuable fact about America’s girls: I was told most of them are Backstabbing Bitches (and to go and see the movie “Mean Girls” to get behind the full meaning of this statement).

The context is as follows.

During the ride to school two girls, about 18 years old, were talking meanly about their so called friend. The whole content of the conversation eludes my by now, as it was spoken in blaring volume into my ear - as an excuse to listen in, I would like to cite my sleepiness; I would have unkindly asked them to shut up otherwise.

However, I roughly remember something about said girls’ friend being “too friendly” and thus “uncool”, as well as badly done imitations of the friend and badmouthing of her countryside home, family, accent, voice, etc.

Upon consulting several American source on the issue, I got controversial responses, thus the blog entry. One female source was the one that made me think of average American teenage girls as Backstabbing Bitches (I secretly love the sound of this). A male source added that he doesn’t “know much about girls, but one thing - they’re bitchy”. Whereas I was surprised by this, my third source’s response got me confused, as this girl said that females, as described before, are rare and unpleasant and consequently to be avoided.

So: Fact or Fiction?
